What is CKT?
Chirokinetic Therapy (CKT) is an outstanding treatment, for many of today's ills. It aims to balance the body's physical, emotional and spiritual needs allowing harmony to be restored. It works by correcting imbalances and redirecting energy to depleted areas.
Since its development in 1997 CKT has shown to be helpful in a variety of conditions. One of CKT's first successes was a girl aged 5 suffering from a life threatening peanut allergy, who was treated in 1998 by the founder of CKT David Stevens. At the time of writing in 2009 she is still allergy free and has shown no sign of a relapse.
By harmonising the body's energy centres CKT removes the blocks enabling us to overcome many of life's obstacles. Physical symptoms such as back and joint pain respond well to CKT, also immune imbalances, allergies, eczema, asthma, rhinitis and a host of other diseases can be markedly improved following treatment.
Hormonal imbalances found during treatment are of particular importance in CKT, also neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which are often implicated in depressive states, phobias and anxiety. By supporting the body's innate ability to heal, CKT can often enhance the benefit of other therapies.
It is particularly effective in improving the symptoms found with ME or CFS, a significant number of those treated have returned to normal life. One such case had been assured that she would be unable to cease her dependence on the drug thyroxin, never work again and would not be able to have children. Happily this prognosis was disproved as following a course of CKT she now has a normal life, has become a mother of two and lives without the aid of thyroxin.
